Iowa will be holding a two-month amnesty beginning September 4, 2007.   The 121st Legislature and Governor Baldacci have enacted the 2003 Tax Amnesty Program open to most taxpayers who owe Maine taxes. If you owe Maine taxes and pay all of the tax plus one-half of the interest due, the remaining interest and all of the penalties will be waived. Although the Maine Amnesty Program will run September 1, 2003 through November 30, 2003, you may apply for a Pre-Amnesty Settlement from July 1, 2003 through August 31, 2003.

• Massachusetts: Amnesty Site Preview & Search
  Extended Tax Amnesty was a two-month opportunity to resolve overdue tax obligations with DOR without incurring any penalty charges. Extended Tax Amnesty ran from January 1, 2003 until February 28, 2003. The Department is now utilizing improved technological resources to identify those taxpayers with delinquent tax obligations. • Michigan: Voluntary Disclosure Site Preview & Search
  The Voluntary Disclosure Act (Public Act 221 of 1998) authorizes the State Treasurer, or a representative, to enter into a voluntary disclosure agreement with nonfilers who have not been previously contacted by the Department and who meet certain other criteria. (Reference MCL 205.30c).

  The Mississippi State Tax Commission implemented a Tax Amnesty Program passed during the 2004 Legislative Session. It began September 1, 2004 and ended on December 31, 2004.
  

• Missouri: Amnesty Site Preview & Search
  HB 600 mandates a Tax Amnesty to offer taxpayers the opportunity to pay eligible unpaid state taxes that were due on or before December 31, 2002, without paying any interest and penalties. The taxes, however, cannot be pending in a civil, criminal, or bankruptcy court. Lien fees and bad check charges are not eligible for tax amnesty.
